Social responsibility builds trust

Social responsibility builds trust

As a company, we maintain close ties with our region. It provides jobs, shapes structures, and takes responsibility for the people who live there. We share this understanding. We want and need to be economically successful, but we also want to make a positive contribution to society.

Why is this important to us? Because social responsibility builds trust – among employees, customers, partner companies, and the public. It strengthens social cohesion, supports local stakeholders, and demonstrates that companies are part of the community and actively contribute to it. Especially as a fifth-generation family business, we are historically and emotionally closely connected to the Kinzig Valley. For us, commitment is therefore not an obligation, but an attitude. Below you will find some examples of our commitment.

Bärenadvent: Help that makes a difference

For many years, we have supported the Hausacher Bärenadvent e.V. A project that encourages many families with seriously ill children. This year, we are donating 1,000 euros and will receive our own company bear. In 2020, the daughter of one of our employees was a so-called “bear child,” for whose family donations were collected. Our staff collected almost 5,000 euros at the time, and the management doubled the amount. The affected families repeatedly report how much encouragement they received through this campaign. This is exactly what we want to support.

We are all the more saddened that Erwin Moser, the Chairman of the association, passed away a few days ago. The cause of the association was a matter close to his heart. He was a true source of encouragement and always a friendly and welcome contact person for us. We will cherish his memory and wish his family and all those close to him much strength in this difficult time.

Christmas Market in Hausach: A Contribution to the Community

The Christmas Market in Hausach is an annual meeting point for the entire Kinzig Valley. Organized by Forum Hausach, it creates a place where people come together – with music, readings, handmade crafts, and many culinary delights. For many years, NEUMAYER has sponsored the free St. Nicholas bags for children, thereby supporting an event that is a highlight for many families during the Advent season.

Children’s Rally “Elsa and the Bollenhut” in Gutach: Discovery Empowers

As one of 18 sponsors, we support the children’s rally in Gutach. It is a new collaborative project by the municipality, the Association for Children and Youth, the Trade and Tourism Association, and Black Forest Tourism Kinzig Valley. Planning took over 18 months until the interactive rally was ceremoniously opened recently. Children and families follow Elsa the magpie through the spa park, solve riddles, and playfully learn about their home region. A great project that shows how regional cooperation can work, and one that we are happy to promote.

Hausacher LeseLenz: Strengthening Culture

The Hausacher LeseLenz is known far beyond the region. The FAZ described it as one of the most exciting literature festivals in the German-speaking world. Since 1998, it has brought literature to the stage, into schools, and to the urban public. NEUMAYER supports the festival because cultural education is an important building block for social participation. More than 2,000 students experience literature “child’s play & young readers” every year – an offering that is important to us.

Social commitment is firmly anchored in our corporate culture. Social interaction, cultural participation, and regional initiatives strengthen the community and make our region more livable. Our experience shows: sustainability is not only created in production halls and energy efficiency projects, but also where people stand up for each other.
